Laura Butcher
Laura brings extensive consulting expertise along with 15 years of corporate human resources experience with General Electric, Bank of America and Delta Air Lines. As an organization consultant, trainer and facilitator, she combines strong business acumen with expertise in group process design and facilitation to serve organizations as they plan strategy, confront problems, and manage change.
Laura started her career in GE Appliances as a member of GE's Corporate Human Resource Leadership Program. While at General Electric, she was instrumental on the divisional and corporate level in the design and implementation of the transformational Work-Out process and in supporting global human resources systems related to performance management and succession planning. She held key HR generalist roles in GE Appliances and GE Aircraft Engines before moving to NationsBank.
As NationsBank, Laura led teams in the implementation of complex, corporate change initiatives following the NationsBank/Bank America merger, where she was responsible for developing and implementing the change management process for Bank of America's employee benefits consolidation affecting 170,000 employees worldwide.
Laura joined Delta Air Lines as the Director of Human Resources - Europe at Delta's regional headquarters operation in London where she led significant business restructuring initiatives across Europe and supported the development of cross-cultural business teams.
She has a broad range of experience working with clients in sales, service, operations, and staff organizations in the U.S. as well as countries throughout Asia and Europe. Laura has designed and led executive development workshops for several Fortune 50 businesses, using her master-level facilitation skills to create meaningful learning experiences that drive business results.
Laura received her Bachelors Degree with honors in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Masters in Business Administration from Vanderbilt University.
